This explains what Wisconsin Pub Club collects, why, and who sees it. The short version: we collect what we need to run the club, bars never see your name or email, and we do not sell your information.
What we collect
- Members: your email address, your name, your date of birth, the time zone of your device, and a record of each offer you redeem (which bar, which offer, and when).
- Bar owners and managers: your email address and name, and the bar details, logo and photos you enter.
- Everyone: basic technical information our hosting provider records when any website is visited, such as IP address and browser type.
We do not collect your location. If you tap "Near me", your phone works out which bars are closest on the device itself; your location is not sent to us or stored. We do not use advertising trackers.
Why we collect it
- Your email, to sign you in and to send messages about your account.
- Your date of birth, to confirm you are 21 or older.
- Your redemptions, to enforce each bar's limit and to tell bars how many drinks they gave away.
What bars see
A bar sees the date and time of each redemption at that bar, the offer, whether it was your first visit, and a member code such as M-3FA91C. The code is the same each time you visit that bar and different at every other bar. Bars do not see your name, email address or date of birth. Staff may of course see your ID when they check it.
Who else handles your information
We use service providers to run the site: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email). They process information on our behalf and only to provide their service. When paid membership opens, a payment processor will handle card details; we will not store card numbers. We do not sell your information, and we share it only with these providers or when the law requires it.
Photos from bars
Logos and photos that bars upload are public. We remove the hidden details phones attach to photos, such as where a photo was taken, before they are stored.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, and the redemptions you made stay in each bar's totals without any link to you.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by writing to support@wisconsinpubclub.com.
People under 21
The club is for adults 21 and older. Someone under 21 who tries to join is not made a member. We keep the date of birth they entered so the age check cannot be retried with a different date, and they can ask us to delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will change the date at the top. See also our Terms.
